Margie Jetton will be the first to tell you how grateful and humbled she is by what Advanced Insurance Group has become today. In the 1980s, after Margie was approached by an insurance agent, she went to insurance school. TLC specialized in offering insurance to businesses for their employees. This was cold calling, without appointments, and seeing 15–20 people per day! What’s more, it required traveling all over the state and only coming home on weekends. As you can imagine, the sacrifices for the family were tremendous. There was no salary or reimbursement for fuel or travel; however, Margie believed in the dream that hard work and persistence would someday pay off.
When introduced to the senior insurance market, Margie chose to change her focus. She felt a real pull to work with and assist those aging into Medicare. With a natural ability to turn often complicated insurance strategies into simple, easy-to-understand ones, she became one of the top company salespeople in the state.
In fact, she won a manager’s retreat to Kerrville, Texas. After four days of staying in Kerrville, she was hooked! Margie and the family moved to Kerrville, and she became an independent agent and opened her own agency, Advanced Insurance Group.
She used her training to literally go door to door all over town, meeting everyone and handing out her cards. She joined the Chamber of Commerce, volunteered on numerous boards, and became a very familiar face and senior advocate. Margie remembers, “I had a little two-drawer file cabinet, and I would look at it and think… someday I’m going to fill it up!”
Well, that “someday dream” has been fulfilled a hundred times over during the past almost 40 years! From scratch, Advanced Insurance Group has evolved into what you see today: a simple beginning based on knowledge, exceptional work ethic, and integrity.
Now, with Margie’s granddaughter, Darian Page, joining the agency, she brings a fresh and modern outlook with new health insurance products and technologies for all ages—always with the goal of maintaining the legacy formed by her grandmother and giving the personal, one-on-one, individualized service that clients deserve.
